A comprehensive tool kit necessary to set cam, valve and VANOS timing on the BMW N55 engine family.
This kit includes the following tools:
- Camshaft alignment fixture used to align and retain the camshafts in the TDC position. (Applicable to N55 engines only).
- VANOS alignment fixture (purple) used to align the VANOS cam-phasers upon re-assembly. (Applicable to N55 engines only).
- Timing pin used to lock the crankshaft in the TDC position while performing service work related to engine timing. (Applicable to N51, N52, N53, N54 and N55 engines).
– Rigid chain tensioner necessary to tension the primary timing chain on when setting valve, cam or VANOS timing. (Applicable to N51, N52, N53, N54 and N55 engines).
